Spy Museum under Construction

Construction started in June 2016 on the new International Spy Museum, located on 10th Street, SW at L’Enfant Plaza. The anticipated museum opening is spring 2018. Along with The Wharf development at the southwest waterfront, this museum should catalyze further activity within the SW Ecodistrict boundaries.

“Keeping this museum in the District greatly benefits the city and the community,” Museum representatives and JBG Company, the developer said in their statement. “It will anchor the SW Ecodistrict Initiative and the revitalization of 10th Street SW, creating 350 jobs throughout construction, and up to 200 permanent jobs at the Museum upon completion. Additionally, this project would generate over $2 million in annual tax revenue for the District.”
