Special Event: NCPC Booth at the Capital Pride Festival

12:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Location

Penn Quarter
633 Pennsylvania Avenue NW

Overview

Join NCPC on Pennsylvania Avenue for the Capital Pride Festival, a full day of entertainment on three stages, food, drink, and advocacy. NCPC will be exhibiting at the festival to share information about the following initiatives:

  • Streetscape Design Guidelines - These guidelines on small-scale elements such as benches and bicycle racks inform the design character and physical quality of Washington’s downtown monumental core. The public is invited to provide comments through June 20.
  • Beyond Granite: Pulling Together - From August 18 through September 18, this pilot exhibition will feature special works of art, performances, and programs on the National Mall that signal a more inclusive process for Washington’s commemorative landscape.
  • NCPC Centennial 2024 – NCPC’s Centennial offers a unique opportunity for the agency and public to examine the evolution of planning in Washington, DC and the region, acknowledge inequities created by past planning practices, and consider lessons learned to inform planning today and into the future.
