Section 106 Meeting: Federal Reserve Board

Overview

NCPC will host with the Federal Reserve Board a Section 106 Consulting Parties meeting on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at the Commission Hearing Room from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm EDT to provide information on the Federal Reserve System’s proposal to renovate and expand the Marriner Eccles Federal Reserve Board Building (Eccles Building) at 2051 Constitution Avenue NW and the Federal Reserve Board – East Building (FRB-East Building) at 1951 Constitution Avenue NW (historically known as the United States Public Health Service Building and more recently the Department of the Interior - South Building). In accordance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, during the meeting, the Board will provide an overview of the proposed project, present the alternatives being developed, and discuss the potential effects to historic properties. The Section 106 process is being undertaken concurrently with the environmental review process under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
