Public Meeting: National Capital Memorial Advisory Commission

Overview

The National Capital Memorial Advisory Commission (NCMAC) will meet to review recently introduced memorial legislation, to provide consultation on authorized memorials, and to be updated on other memorials currently in progress.

(1) Review of H.R. 2274, to authorize a National Emergency Medical Services Memorial in Washington, D.C.
(2) Review of H.R. 1949, the National Liberty Memorial Clarification Act.
(3) National Liberty Memorial consultation.
(4) Consultation on potential locations for the installation of a plaque within the area of the World War II Memorial, pursuant to P.L. 113-123, the World War II Memorial Prayer Act of 2013.
(5) Updates on memorials in progress.

Presentation materials will be posted in advance of the meeting at http://parkplanning.nps.gov/ncmac.

The meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. and is open to the public.  The NCMAC members will meet in Room 311, the Boardroom of the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts which is located on the 3rd floor of the National Building Museum, 401 F Street, NW, Washington, DC.  Persons who wish to attend the meeting should enter Room 311 directly through the room entry doors on the 3rd Floor hallway – this room will not be accessible through the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts offices in Suite 312.
