Overview

The National Capital Planning Commission, in cooperation with District of Columbia Public Library will be holding a Section 106 consultation meeting for the proposed renovation of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial (MLK) Library on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, 901 G Street, NW, Washington, DC - Dream Lab.

 The purpose of this Section 106 consultation meeting is to: 

  • Provide an update on the review processes and Historic Structure Report underway on the building.
  • Present the action alternatives, including the preferred alternative identified by District of Columbia Public Library.
  • Discuss impacts to historic properties to apply the criteria of adverse effect as required under the Section 106 regulations.
