Location

Department of Energy Forrestal Building
1000 Independence Avenue, SW, Washington, DC

Overview

This year's theme is "Earth Day, Every Day! Working Together to Reduce Our Environmental Footprint," encourages everyone to incorporate sustainability in their travels, work and home environment. In keeping with the objective, we are extending invitations to organizations and business, such as yours, to showcase their "green" products and services. An overview of the exhibits and activities is noted on the next page.

This year, DOE will be partnering with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), U.S. Postal Service (USPS), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the General Services Administration (GSA). Dr. Ernest Moniz, Secretary of DOE has been invited to kickoff the Earth Day activities, and participates with the USPS with the unveiling of a new forever international postal stamp ??? "Global: Sea Surface Temperatures." The unveiling will be accompanied by a color guard and a dedication/signing ceremony.

In addition to having the other agencies and their many interactive exhibits, there will be over 20 "green" exhibits and over 15 DOE program office displays.

Here is a Schedule of Events.
