Overview
Consider how 20th century modernist urban landscapes can, or should, respond to contemporary expectations for public space. Gary Hilderbrand, Reed Hilderbrand and Harvard University, and Elizabeth Meyer, University of Virginia, discuss ideas for how to sensitively honor and adapt landscapes and case studies from other cities, including Boston’s City Hall Plaza and Christian Science Plaza, in a conversation moderated by Bradford McKee, Editor, Landscape Architecture Magazine.
