NCPC Receives Federal Planning Award

The American Planning Association’s Federal Planning Division (FPD) holds an annual awards program to celebrate the best among federal planning programs, projects, and planners.

On July 15, the FPD presented the Workplace Scenario Planning Study, developed by NCPC and the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, with the 2024 Outstanding Technical Planning Project Honor award, which represents the highest standards of quality among all submissions received.  

The study’s scenario planning approach provides a tool that federal agencies and regional jurisdictions can use to better understand the federal workforce, where federal workers live, transportation patterns, and the implications of telework policies across federal real estate.  

NCPC is honored to receive this recognition and continue serving as a proud leader of planning in the Washington, DC region.
