 | New Vision for Pennsylvania Avenue and Potential ConceptsAt a special Commission meeting on February 16 NCPC staff introduced a new vision for Pennsylvania Avenue that reimagines the Avenue as a signature outdoor venue that could attract and support major national and international events. Check out three inspiring concepts that elevate the Avenue, modernize its infrastructure, and revitalize its economic health. Staff will ask the Commission on March 3 to authorize release of the vision and concepts for a 120-day public comment period. | |
February Meeting RecapNCPC approved the Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling Installation Development Plan and other related plans, which seek to transform the installation into a more environmentally sustainable base that supports multiple missions and preserves its historic heritage. NCPC staff updated the Commission on changes to the Federal Capital Improvements Program, which include the incorporation of questions that capture how submitting agencies are considering the climate change and equity impacts of federal capital projects. | |
