NCPC provided comments on concept plans for the Eisenhower Executive Office Building Beautification Project. The plans call for improvements to the building’s exterior that include cleaning and masonry preservation, as well as options for painting the façade. Commissioners supported the applicant’s intent to clean and preserve the building’s masonry with re-pointing, sealant replacement, and stone restoration. They requested additional information prior to the next Commission review to be able to evaluate two proposed painting options. 
 
The Commission approved preliminary and final site building plans for a Commercial Vehicle Inspection Facility at the Pentagon. Commissioners appreciated that the applicant updated the design based on their previous input. They recommended that the future master plan and projects incorporate measures to improve the pedestrian experience.
