1) Erected by State of NY in honor of war dead from the 25th NY Volunteers who died in the defense of the Capital in 1864; 2) erected by the State of NY in honor of the war dead from 122nd NY Volunteers (Onondaga Co.) who died in defense of the Capital. 3) erected by the State of Ohio for the 150th Ohio National Guard Infantrymen who took part in the defense of Washington at Ft. Stevens; 4) erected by State of Pennsylvania to honor war dead and wounded who fought in defense of Washington.
