Description

A memorial to General Charles W. Kutz, Engineering Comissioner of the District of Columbia, for notable contributions to the development of Washington. A Bronze plaque at the west abutment of bridge dedicates the bridge to General Kutz. Construction and fundsd fo r the bridge were contained in the Defense Highway Act of 1941 (P.L. 295, 55 Stat. 765).
