Description

Commemorates the bicentennial of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and honor the signers. The Declaration was adopted by the Second Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, and it announced that the 13 American colonies were independent states. Written primarily by Thomas Jefferson, it is a formal explanation of why Congress declared independence from Great Britain.
