Overview:

The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) has provided over 50 small grants to regional organizations to study innovative approaches to transportation and land use connections.

Former Miami Planning Director Ana Gelabert-Sanchez will give a lecture at NCPC on the morning of September 16. She will discuss Miami 21, the award-winning citywide rezoning and form-based code initiative based on New Urbanist and Smart Growth principles.

Immediately following Ms. Gelabert-Sanchez talk, you can also participate in a forum at NCPC offices, where COG will launch a peer exchange network to bring together interested parties to share information on these grants, best practices, and other land use and transportation topics.

The event is free and open to the public. RSVPs are encouraged.
