| Description of Project The Department of Veterans Affairs has completed an Environmental Assessment as part of the master planning process for the 35-acre Veterans Affairs Medical Center campus located in Washington, DC. The campus is located along North Capital Street between Michigan Avenue and Irving Street, NW. The master plan addresses an expansion of the main hospital footprint and other changes on campus as part of an effort to adapt to advancements in the medical treatment of the veteran population. The master plan update includes an increase in the size of the buildings on the campus from approximately 920,000 square feet to approximately 1,740,000 square feet to accommodate improvements in patient care. |
