| Description of Project The FCIP, FYs 2011-2016 contains 146 proposed projects with budget estimates submitted by 14 federal agencies. The estimated total cost of these projects over the 6-year period is over $8.7 billion. NCPC categorizes each project according to its conformance with established planning policies. 31 projects were classified as "Recommended and Strongly Endorsed," which denotes the highest priority for allocation of federal capital investment funds. |

| Other Information Once the Commission adopts the FY 2011-2016 FCIP it will be submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). New for 2011-2016: Executive Order 13514 requires federal agencies to implement sustainability plans. NCPC is updating its guidelines for reviewing federal capital improvements to help ensure that agencies meet their greenhouse gas reduction goals. |
