Description of Project
FCIP, FYs 2010-2015 contains 162 proposed projects with budget estimates submitted by 15 federal agencies. The estimated total cost of these projects over the 6-year period is over $7.9 billion. NCPC categorizes each project according to its conformance with established planning policies. 28 projects were classified as "Recommended and Strongly Endorsed," which denotes the highest priority for allocation of federal capital investment funds.

The availability of economic stimulus funds has allowed many agencies to accelerate capital projects that had been planned for later years. Uncertainties remained about the timing and amount of funds after the FCIP submission deadline. Therefore, some agencies may update their proposals during the public comment period. NCPC will post this information as it is received.
