| Description of Project The Armed Forces Retirement Home (AFRH) in cooperation with the General Services Administration (GSA) and the National Capital Planning Commission has completed Environmental Assessment (EA) for the consolidation and modernization of AFRH in Washington, DC. The project entails the demolition of the existing Scott Building and constructing a smaller, more efficient facility in the same location. |

| Historic Preservation (section 106) Consultation Process In addition to NEPA, the process outlined in Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA)(16 U.S.C. Section 470(f)) is being conducted separately from NEPA in accordance with a signed programmatic Agreement, dated February 26, 2008, for the AFRH-W Master Plan. |
