(File number 6886)

NCPC heard an information presentation on the proposed approach to conducting the Height Master Plan. NCPC and the DC Office of Planning (DCOP) are jointly conducting this Congressionally-requested study to examine strategic changes to the federal Height of Buildings Act of 1910.

The outcome of the study will be a joint plan produced by NCPC and DCOP that provides recommendations on areas of Washington, DC where it may be appropriate to allow increased heights above the current limits established by the federal Height Act. The Commission will review the plan before it is submitted to Congress in early fall, and there will be public comment opportunities throughout the study.
